Segerstrom Jaguars

Segerstrom 0  Ocean View 4: The Jaguars dug a deep hole for themselves giving up four runs in the 1st inning to Ocean View.  The Jaguars fought back with better defense the rest of the game, however were unable to get their offense going.  Jerrica Alarcon had the only hit in the game for the Lady Jags.  Segerstrom 10-6, 1-1

Segerstrom 10 Saddleback 0:  Selene Pola opened Goldenwest League play for Segerstrom by pitching a no-hitter against the Saddleback Roadrunners.  Pola had 12 strikeouts and allowed 1 base on balls which broke up the perfect game.  Pola is now 4-2 on the season.  Segerstrom had 14 hits against the Roadrunners.  Marleen Rodriguez was the top hitter for the Lady Jags going 3/4, hitting a single, double, HR, and had 4 RBI's.  Segerstrom 10-5, 1-0

Segerstrom 4 University Prep 0:  In first day action at the Whittier Christian tournament (4/8/2010), Segerstrom defeated University Prep by a score of 4-0.  Segerstrom's Jerrica Alarcon pitched a no hitter, striking out 9.  Alarcon is now 3-0 on the season.  The Lady Jaguars were finally able to score in the bottom of the 4th inning.  Alarcon earned a leadoff walk, Laura Magana singled into left field, Breanne Gomez hit a deep fly ball to centerfield which was dropped.  With the bases loaded Marleen Rodriguez hit a double into centerfield scoring Alarcon and Magana.  Selene Pola then hit a sacrifice fly which scored Gomez from 3rd base.  The Lady Jaguars added another run in the 6th inning.  Segerstrom 7-4

Segerstrom 19  Santa Ana Valley 0

Segerstrom played against SA Valley to finish up pool play in the second weekend of the Katella Tournament.  Due to tournament rules Segerstrom won the game, because of time constraints and the 10-run mercy rule.  Segerstrom scored 5 runs in the first inning, and 14 runs in the second to win 19-0. 

Segerstrom 1  Tustin 2

The Lady Jaguars lose a tough one 2-1 against the Tustin Tillers.  One of the highlights for Segerstrom came in the 2nd inning as Laura Magana hit a thunderous homerun over the left field fence.  Laura's homerun tied the score at 1-1, until the Tillers scratched out a run in the 5th inning.  Segerstrom 4-4
